Yacht Specialties' Radar pole is modular in design and allows configuration to your exact requirement.

The basic pole assembly (configuration "B" below) includes all the parts needed to mount your Radar or Satellite Radome.
By adding antenna/light arms and light brackets, our Radar pole can also be used to mount other antennas,
(in addition to the Radome) such as VHF, TV and GPS, or navigation and floodlights.
Up to 3 antenna/light arms can be mounted. Please read about the different configurations below.
Antenna/light arms are available in 2 lengths for Radomes up to 20" and 28" diameter.

Design Highlights:
The base of the pole incorporates an innovative 2-Axis pivot-base that minimizes stressing
of the mounting area and makes for hassle free installation on any surface from horizontal to vertical.
This pivot base allows the Radar pole to be folded parallel with the deck, for ease of maintenance,
overhead clearance or boat storage.
The base also pivots from side to side up to 10 degrees to compensate for deck crown and other
mounting surface angles.
The support struts incorporate a pivoting mounting base that uses a backlash-free ball joint.
The strut collars are individually adjustable and PTFE lined to minimize the possibility of
corrosion and to prevent scratching of the highly polished pole during installation.
The strut collars utilize an proprietary strut-to-collar connecting pin that eliminates mechanical play.
Our Radar pole will not rattle at various engine rpm or make annoying
clicking sounds when the boat rolls from side side.

Construction:
The pole and struts are made of stainless steel.
The pivot-base, strut collars, Radome mounting plates and Antenna/Light arms are machined, not cast,
from marine grade aluminum billet. This alloy is stronger and more resistant to corrosion than that used by
other manufacturers for their castings (typically type 356).
We believe that powder-coating is not a suitable finish in a marine environment.
All aluminum parts used as part of our Radar mounts are anodized, primed with epoxy primer and finally
top coated with a highly UV resistant polyurethane paint (white).
All metal finishing is done to military specifications.

The standard Pole is 8 ft tall, with a diameter of 2.5" and is supported by 2 struts. Other lengths are available.
The standard support struts are 57" and 60" long. Other lengths can be fabricated to meet your requirement at no extra cost.
The pole tube is made of highly polished, type 316L stainless steel.
Weight is approximately 30 pounds and depends on configuration.
The base of the pole measures 4.00" by 3.25". (the 4 inch dimension points fore and aft)

The pole is available in 3 standard configurations.
All 3 configurations include a Radome mounting plate of your choice and backup
plates for the pole and struts.

Configuration B: (basic)
Includes the pole assembly, Radome mounting plate of your choice and backup plates for the pole and strut bases.

Note: Configurations 1 and 2 are available with long or short antenna/light arms.
All pole assemblies above are supported by 2 struts.
As mentioned, all 3 configurations above can be further modified by the addition of various
light brackets and adapters (see parts/price list).

For aesthetic reasons, we do not make universal Radome mounting plates with
unsightly slots and unused holes.
All mounting plates are made to fit your specific brand of Radar or Satellite Radome.
Mounting plates for all popular brands of Radar and Satellite Radomes are in stock.

The pole can be fabricated in any reasonable length.
Only 8 ft poles are in stock. Special sizes usually take 3 days to fabricate.
Shipping handling and insurance to anywhere in the contiguous USA via UPS ground is $75.00
Any pole taller than 8 ft can only be shipped by truck (very expensive).
